Syeda Younus

Syeda Younus is a mixed-methods researcher with over eight years of experience designing, overseeing, and executing studies, which she does while serving clients at Future Partners as a Research Director. Her passion for storytelling allows her to transform complex, rigorously sourced data into impactful narratives and insightful presentations designed to inform strategy and decision-making.
Syeda’s approach to challenges and opportunities (and her obsession with data) can be summed up in her favorite quote, a statement her graduate advisor once said to her - "There is no such thing as failure - every experience is just a data point.”

"There is no such thing as failure -- every experience is just a data point."

Relatively new to the world of travel and tourism research, Syeda previously worked at Veris Insights, a talent acquisition research and advisory firm where she played a pivotal role in developing market research products and managed a variety of research projects on talent strategy and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). She believes in the transformative power of inclusive and informed people practices at organizations and hopes to embed these principles into every company she is a part of. Syeda’s passion for advocacy extends beyond corporate DEI to destigmatizing mental health conditions and championing neurodiversity through her volunteering work, and in promoting mental health in marginalized communities through her study of applied clinical-community psychology.

Syeda's deep interest in understanding and connecting with people led her to earn her MA in clinical psychology from George Mason University; she also holds a BS in international economics from Georgetown University. Outside of work, Syeda enjoys creating art through drawing and collage and finds solace in nature, especially in lush green forests and the hiking trails in her home state of Virginia and across the US.
