This Policy also governs our collection and use of personal information via the Site or other communications or survey research under the Future Partners brand name. We’ve developed this Policy to describe (1) how we collect, use, transfer, and store information of individuals (“you” or “your”); (2) your choices regarding your personal information; and (3) how we ensure your privacy.

By using the Site or participating in Future Partners-branded research, you consent to the terms of this Policy, and this Policy forms a binding agreement between you and Future Partners. Notice to Survey Respondents

You acknowledge and agree that participating in a survey or other market research program is completely voluntary and that Future Partners’ use of your personal information is carried out with your consent. Future Partners may collect personal information directly from you when you voluntarily provide it to Future Partners, or Future Partners may obtain personal information from unrelated parties we collaborate with, including third-party panels which have obtained your consent.

By participating in any of our surveys or other market research programs or any of our websites following any notice of a change to this Policy, you freely and specifically give us your consent to collect, use, transfer, and disclose your personal information in the manner specified in the then-current Privacy Policy.

1. Introduction
• Our Commitment to Your Privacy: Future Partners is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with transparency and care.

• Scope of This Privacy Policy: This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected by Future Partners through:

  • Our website, futurepartners.com (the “Site”).
  • Our market research services and consulting activities, including information provided by individuals participating in surveys we administer or in connection with data we collect for these services (“Services”).
  • Your interactions with us, whether online or offline, as a website visitor or research participant (whom we may refer to as a “respondent”). This Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy and post the revised policy on our Site. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will provide a more prominent notice, such as by posting a banner on our Site, before the changes become effective. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.

2. Information We Collect

  • 2.a. Information You Provide to Us: We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you interact with our Site or Services. The types of personal information we may collect include:
    • Contact Information: When you contact us, such as through our website contact form, email, or phone, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message.
    • Information from Research Participants (Respondents): When you choose to participate in our market research surveys or other research activities, we may collect:
      • Demographic Information: Such as age, gender, location, income bracket, or education level. Providing this information is typically optional, and you may select a “prefer not to answer” option. This information is generally analyzed and reported in aggregate form and
not linked to other personally identifiable information unless otherwise specified and consented to.
      • Opinions, Preferences, and Habits: Information related to your views, preferences, and behaviors, particularly concerning travel and tourism or other research topics.
      • Contact Details for Specific Purposes: In some instances, such as for sweepstakes associated with a research study, we may ask for your name and email address to notify winners. This information will only be used for the stated purpose and will be securely destroyed after the conclusion of the study and fulfillment of the sweepstakes.
      • Audio and Video Responses: Some surveys may allow you to provide responses in audio or video format. While the questions themselves will not ask for directly identifying personal information, your appearance or voice may be captured. We will always ask for your explicit consent before you provide an audio or video recording, and
participation in such questions is always optional.
      • Political Opinions: In some specific research contexts relevant to travel and tourism, we may ask questions that could indirectly touch upon political opinions. You will be made aware of the nature of these questions, and providing answers is optional.
    • Information from Our Clients: To engage and provide our Services, we may collect contact information from our clients, such as names and business email addresses. If you are a client engaging our services, we may also collect business-related information necessary to fulfill the service agreement, which may include payment information. Payment information is
typically processed by our third-party payment processors, and we do not store full payment card details on our servers.
    • Marketing Communications Preferences: If you subscribe to our
newsletters or other marketing communications, we may collect your name, email address, and communication preferences.
  • 2.b. Information We Collect Automatically: When you visit our Site or interact with our online Services (such as our online survey platforms, which are typically hosted by third parties), we may automatically collect certain information about your device and your interaction with our Site. This information helps us operate and improve our Site and Services, analyze trends, and ensure security. The types of
information we may collect automatically include:

    • Log Data: We may automatically record information that your browser or device sends when you visit our Site. This log data may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, the web page you visited before coming to our Site (referring URL), pages viewed on our Site, time spent on those pages, access times and dates, and other
      statistics.
    • Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access our Site or Services, such as the device type (e.g., computer, mobile phone, tablet), device model, and operating system.
    • Cookies and Similar Technologies:
      • We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service. Cookies are small files placed on your device.
      • Our Site primarily uses first-party cookies, which are cookies set directly by us. These cookies allow us to remember your preferences, provide essential site functionality, and gather analytics data.
      • Our Site may also include cookies from third-party service providers, such as our analytics provider (Google Analytics). These third parties may use cookies to help us analyze how our Site is used or to provide other services. While we aim to minimize the use of third-party tracking, you should be aware that these cookies are governed by the privacy policies of the third parties setting them.
      • You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, some parts of our Site may not function properly.
    • Analytics Information: We use third-party analytics services, including Google Analytics (GA4), to help us understand how users engage with our Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit our Site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used
prior to coming to our Site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Site and Services, and this data is typically collected and analyzed in an aggregated and de-identified form. For more information on Google Analytics’ privacy practices, you can review their policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
    • Location Information: We do not collect precise location information from your device. We may infer your general geographic location (e.g., city or region) from your IP address, but this is not used to track your specific whereabouts.
  • 2.c. Information We Collect from Third Parties: In some instances, we may collect personal information from third-party sources. This is typically done to enable us to conduct specific research projects on behalf of our clients or to reach particular study populations. The types of information and sources include:
    • From Our Clients: Our clients may provide us with lists of individuals (e.g., their customers or employees) to contact for research purposes, which typically include email addresses. In such cases, we rely on our clients to have obtained the necessary permissions for us to contact these individuals on their behalf.
    • From Third-Party List Providers: In rare circumstances, where a specific population is difficult to reach through other means, we may obtain contact lists (such as email addresses) from reputable third-party list providers. We take steps to ensure these providers adhere to applicable data protection laws and have the right to share such information. Any personal information collected from these third-party sources is used solely for the specific research purpose for which it was obtained and is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • 3.a. To Provide and Improve Our Services: We use the personal information we collect for several key purposes related to providing and enhancing our services and website functionality. These include:

      • Utilizing client contact information and business details to manage projects, deliver our consulting services and research findings, and maintain our client relationships.
      • Responding to inquiries and requests submitted through our website contact forms or other communication channels.
    • Maintaining and Improving Our Offerings:
      • Analyzing information collected automatically (such as website usage data from cookies and analytics) to understand how users interact with our Site, identify areas for improvement, enhance usability, and optimize site performance.

    • Email newsletters.
    • Invitations to webinars or promotional events.
    • Information about our services, new research insights, or other offerings we believe may be of interest to you. We will only send you marketing communications if you have actively opted in to receive them. We do not use your personal information collected from our Site or Services for targeted advertising on third-party websites or platforms. You can opt out of receiving
marketing communications from us at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link or opt-out instructions provided in the emails you receive, or by contacting us directly as described in the “Contact Us” section of this Policy.
  • 3.d. For Research and Analytics (Internal): We may use personal information for our internal research and analytics purposes, primarily by analyzing aggregated and de-identified data. This helps us:
    • Understand trends in how our Site is accessed and used (e.g., overall web traffic, popular content such as our monthly blogs).
    • Improve our Site, our service offerings, and our business strategies based on these insights. This internal analysis is conducted using aggregated or deidentified information where possible and is distinct from the research services we provide to our clients.
  • 3.e. To Comply with Legal Obligations: We may use or disclose your personal information when we believe it is necessary or appropriate to:
    • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including those outside your country of residence. This includes our efforts to comply with requirements in jurisdictions such as California (e.g., the California Consumer Privacy Act/California Privacy Rights Act) and the European Economic Area (e.g., the General Data Protection Regulation), as applicable to our data processing activities.
    • Respond to lawful requests from public and government authorities, including responding to law enforcement requests when required by law, or as otherwise mandated by courts or other regulatory bodies, both within and outside your country of residence.
    • Protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and that of our users, clients, affiliates, or the public.
    • Prevent, detect, or investigate fraud, security incidents, or other illegal or malicious activity.
    • Enforce our terms of service or other agreements and policies.

4. How We Share Your Information

  • 4.a. With Service Providers: We engage various third-party service providers to perform functions and provide services to us to support our business operations. We may share your personal information with these service providers, but only to the extent necessary for them to perform these services on our behalf. We have agreements in place with our service providers that obligate them to safeguard the personal information they process for us, to use it only for the purposes for which it was shared, and to maintain its confidentiality. The categories of service providers with whom we may share personal information include:
    • Survey Platform Providers: To host and administer our online surveys. When we conduct surveys, these providers may process survey responses, email addresses (if we provide lists for invitation purposes), and other information automatically collected by their platform (such as IP addresses of respondents).
    • Data Hosting and Cloud Storage Providers: To store our business-related files and data, including information collected during our research activities. This includes providers such as Dropbox and SharePoint.
    • Website Hosting Providers: To host and maintain our Site. These providers may have access to data processed through our Site, such as server logs containing IP addresses and Browse activity.
    • Email Service Providers: For our internal and external business
communications (e.g., Microsoft Outlook) and, if applicable, to manage and send marketing communications and newsletters.
    • Analytics Providers: Such as Google Analytics, to help us understand website traffic and usage patterns. These providers process aggregated data and certain online identifiers as described earlier in this Policy.
    • Payment Processing Providers: Such as QuickBooks, to process payments for our services and manage financial transactions with our clients. These providers collect and process payment and billing information on our behalf.
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Providers: Such as
Salesforce, to manage our interactions and relationships with current and prospective clients. This may include storing client contact details, communication history, and service-related information.
    • Panel Providers: To facilitate access to research participants by distributing our survey invitations to members of their proprietary panels. We provide them with survey links, and they manage direct contact with their panelists.
  • 4.b. With Business Partners (if applicable): Future Partners does not typically share your personal information with external business partners for their independent marketing or other unrelated commercial purposes. Our focus is on using your information to provide services directly to you or to our clients as described in this Policy. Any sharing outside of direct service provision, such as
sharing specific information with a client at your explicit request and with your consent, will be detailed under the relevant sections of this Policy (such as ‘With Your Consent’).
  • 4.c. For Legal Reasons: We may be required to share your personal information with certain third parties for legal reasons, including:
    • Public and Government Authorities: We may disclose your personal information to public and government authorities, including regulatory bodies and courts, to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, or in response to lawful requests such as subpoenas or court orders.
    • Law Enforcement: We may disclose your personal information to law enforcement officials when required by law, or as we believe necessary to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
    • Parties in Legal Proceedings: In the event of litigation, a dispute, or other legal proceedings, we may share your personal information as necessary to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users, clients, or the public. This may include sharing information with opposing counsel, courts, and mediators.
  • 4.d. In Case of Business Transfers: In the event that Future Partners is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of all or a portion of our assets, or transition of service to another provider (collectively, a “Business Transfer”), your personal information may be sold, transferred, or otherwise shared as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality agreements. If such a Business Transfer occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the acquiring or successor entity is bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy with respect to your previously collected personal information. If your personal information will be used contrary to this Privacy Policy,
we will notify you in advance (for example, via a notice on our Site or by email to your last known email address if we have one) and you will have an opportunity to opt out of the new use for your personal information, where feasible and required by law.
  • 4.e. With Your Consent: Beyond the sharing practices described above, we may share your personal information with other third parties with your explicit consent. This includes, but is not limited to, the following situations:
    • Sharing Research Data with Clients (with Respondent Consent): In some of our research projects, we may ask you (as a research respondent) if you consent to having specific pieces of your personal information (such as your email address or other identifiable survey responses) shared directly with the
client for whom we are conducting the research. This type of sharing will only occur if you provide your explicit, affirmative consent for that specific purpose prior to the sharing. You will be clearly informed about what information would be shared and with whom.
    • Other Situations: From time to time, there may be other circumstances where we wish to share your personal information with a third party. In such cases, we will clearly explain with whom we wish to share the information
and for what purpose, and we will only do so if we have obtained your explicit prior consent. You will always have the choice to withhold or withdraw your consent for such sharing, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.

5. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

  • 5.a. What Cookies Are: Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
  • 5.b. How We Use Cookies: We use cookies for a variety of purposes to enhance your experience on our Site. The types of cookies we use or may use include:
    • Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are essential for you to browse our Site and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the Site. Without these cookies, services you have asked for cannot be provided.
    • Performance and Analytics Cookies: These cookies collect information about how you use our Site, for instance, which pages you go to most often, and if you get error messages from web pages. We use these cookies to improve how our Site works. Specifically, we use Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and usage patterns. The information generated by Google Analytics cookies about your use of our Site is usually transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. As configured for our Site, this data is typically collected and analyzed in an aggregated form. You can learn more about Google’s practices by going to https://policies.google.com/privacy/partners/.
    • Functionality Cookies: We may in the future use these cookies to allow our Site to remember choices you make (such as your user name if you log in, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. These cookies can also be used to remember changes you have made to text size, fonts, and other parts of web pages that you can customize. The information these cookies collect may be anonymized, and
they cannot track your Browse activity on other websites.
    • Targeting or Advertising Cookies: We do not use targeting or advertising cookies to track your Browse habits across different websites to deliver targeted advertising from third parties.
  • 5.c. Your Choices Regarding Cookies: You have several options to control or limit how we and our service providers use cookies:
    • Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, some parts of our Site may not function properly. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.aboutcookies.org or
      www.allaboutcookies.org.
    • Google Analytics Opt-out: To provide website visitors more choice on how their data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on communicates with the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) to indicate that information about the
website visit should not be sent to Google Analytics. You can download and install the add-on for your current web browser at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
    • Cookie Consent Tool: When you first visit our Site, you may be presented with a cookie banner or tool which provides you with information about the cookies we use and allows you to make choices about certain categories of cookies.
  • 5.d. Other Tracking Technologies: We do not currently use other tracking technologies such as web beacons (also known as pixels or clear gifs) or similar technologies on our Site. However, we may use them in the future. If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

6. Data Security
Future Partners is committed to protecting the security of your personal information and takes reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to help protect it from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. The security measures we employ include:

  • Technical Safeguards: We use industry-standard encryption for data transmitted via our website (HTTPS). Personal information stored with our third-party cloud storage providers (such as Dropbox and SharePoint) is protected by the business level security and encryption measures offered by those services. We also implement technical access controls to our systems.
  • Administrative Safeguards: We have internal policies and procedures designed to protect personal information, which include data handling protocols and staff training. Access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel who require it to perform their job duties. We also maintain policies regarding data retention, which are designed to ensure data is not kept longer than necessary. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal
information, it is important to understand that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. As we do not typically require users to create password-protected accounts to interact with our general Site or participate in
surveys, specific password security responsibilities do not generally apply to our users in those contexts.

7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to fulfill our contractual obligations, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:

  • The nature of the personal information and the purposes for which it was collected and processed.
  • The duration of our active business relationship with you or our client (if you are a research participant in a client-sponsored project).
  • Specific project requirements, such as data collected with your explicit consent to be shared with a client.
  • Our operational needs, such as for maintaining accurate records and managing our client relationships (e.g., information in our CRM is reviewed periodically, such as annually, to remove outdated or unnecessary personal information).
  • Applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, or reporting requirements, which may require us to retain certain information for specified periods. More specifically:
    • Client Project Data (including Research Participant Information): Personal information collected as part of a research project for a client is generally retained for the duration of our active relationship with that client and for a period thereafter (typically up to one year after the conclusion of the specific project or the termination of the overall client relationship, unless a longer period is required for legal or contractual reasons). Data collected with explicit respondent consent to be shared with a client may be maintained as long as the client relationship is active to facilitate such sharing.
    • Website and CRM Data: Personal information collected through our website (e.g., via contact forms) or maintained in our CRM is subject to periodic review (e.g., annually). We endeavor to remove personal information that is no longer relevant, outdated, or necessary for our ongoing business operations, generally aiming to not keep data that has been irrelevant for more than one year.
    • Marketing Communications Data: If you have subscribed to our marketing communications, we will retain your contact information until you opt-out or unsubscribe. In all cases, if a legal or regulatory obligation requires us to retain personal information for a longer period, that requirement will take precedence over our general retention policies. Once personal information is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected and retained, we will securely delete it or
anonymize it. Anonymized data, which can no longer be used to identify you, may be retained and used for statistical analysis, research, and other legitimate business purposes.

8. Your Privacy Rights
Future Partners respects your rights concerning your personal information. Depending on your jurisdiction and subject to applicable law, you may have several rights regarding the personal information we collect and process about you. These rights may include:

  • The Right to Access / Know: You may have the right to request access to the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you and to be informed about its collection, use, and disclosure. This includes the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the sources from which it was collected, the purposes for collecting or sharing it, the categories of third parties with whom we share it, and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about
    you.
  • The Right to Rectification / Correction: You may have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.
  • The Right to Erasure / Deletion: You may have the right to request that we delete your personal information under certain conditions, for example, if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, if you withdraw consent (where consent was the basis for processing), or if it has been unlawfully processed.
  • The Right to Restrict Processing: You may have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information under certain circumstances, such as if you contest the accuracy of the data or have objected to our processing.
  • The Right to Data Portability: Where processing is based on your consent or a contract and carried out by automated means, you may have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to have us transmit that information to another controller where technically feasible.
  • The Right to Object to Processing: You may have the right to object to the processing of your personal information based on our legitimate interests, and you have an absolute right to object to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
  • The Right to Withdraw Consent: If we process your personal information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal information conducted in
reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
  • The Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing (as defined by applicable laws like CCPA/CPRA): While Future Partners does not “sell” personal information in the traditional sense of exchanging it for monetary payment, and we do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as currently defined, some laws have a broad definition of “sale.” We are committed to providing you with
control over your personal information. We will provide further information on how you can exercise choices regarding any practices that might be deemed a “sale” or “sharing” under such laws in the ‘How to Exercise Your Rights’ section below or in jurisdiction-specific addenda.
  • The Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of your privacy rights.
  • The Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information (if applicable): If we collect sensitive personal information (as defined by applicable law), you may have the right to limit its use and disclosure. We will provide specific information if this right applies to your data and how to exercise it. How to Exercise Your Rights To exercise any of the rights described above, please contact us using one of the following methods:
    • Email: You can email us at [email protected].
    • Postal Mail: You can write to us at: Future Partners Attn: Privacy Matters, 2 Embarcadero Center, 8th Floor San Francisco, CA 94111

Please provide sufficient information in your request to allow us to identify you and understand the nature of your request.

Verification of Requests To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing your request. This may require you to provide additional information to confirm your identity. If we are unable to verify your identity, we may deny your request.

Response Time We will respond to your verifiable consumer request within the time period required by applicable law. Typically, this means we will respond within one month (for GDPR-related requests) or 45 days (for CCPA/CPRA-related requests) of receiving your request. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

Authorized Agents Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the CCPA/CPRA), you may be able to designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof that the agent has been duly authorized by you to make the request and may also need to verify your own identity directly with us.

The personal information we collect is generally stored and processed on servers located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States (for example, in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK)) and provide us with your personal information, or if we collect your

Data protection laws in the United States may differ from those in your country of residence. When we transfer personal information from regions such as the EEA or the UK to the United States or other
countries not deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection by the European Commission or relevant UK authorities, we are committed to taking appropriate steps to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. These steps may include:

  • Implementing Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission (or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office) for transfers of personal information.
  • Relying on an adequacy decision, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), if Future Partners becomes certified under such a framework, or if our service providers are certified.
  • Utilizing other lawful data transfer mechanisms or derogations as permitted by applicable data protection laws. By providing your information or participating in our research, you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed in the United States as described in this Policy.

10. Children’s Privacy
Future Partners’ services and website are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. We are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the collection of information from children. If we become aware or are informed that a survey respondent or website user is under the age of 18, we will immediately terminate their participation or
interaction and will take steps to promptly delete any personal information that may have been inadvertently collected from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at [email protected] [User Note: update to [email protected] when active], and we will take steps to delete such information from our systems.
