Roberta Atzori, Ph.D.

Research Manager

With over 12 years of experience in tourism research, Roberta had the opportunity to explore how travel impacts communities and how data can help shape more sustainable, resilient destinations. A former university professor, Roberta has led interdisciplinary research projects focused on sustainable tourism and visitor impact across the United States and internationally. With a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management and a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research, she has worked closely with community leaders, tourism boards, and policymakers to inform strategy and decision-making.

Roberta is passionate about exploring coastal destinations and small communities, especially where sustainability and local culture intersect. Sardinia, where she was born and raised, remains her favorite place to return to. Outside of work, she loves cooking traditional Italian meals from scratch (handmade pasta is her specialty!) and exploring nature trails with her husband and daughter.
